ABOUT LEGACY COACH

Chris Johnson, a native of Hampton Roads, is the CEO and founder of Legacy Coach, LLC. He started his manufacturing career at the age of 17 and has over 27 years of experience in engineering and design with manufacturing. During this time, he has designed, built, redesigned, and serviced over 478 conversions, coaches, buses, vans, trailers, and yachts. He studied mechanical and electrical engineering for over ten years and continues to enhance his skills everyday being hands-on and surrounding himself with people who are extremely talented in their skill sets.

Twelve years ago, Chris came up with the Legacy “Superior Organizational Skills” (S.O.S) concept. This concept was designed to take a niche industry such as custom coach building to a high-volume manufacturing world regardless of how custom the product is. With his experience and education, Chris converted Legacy Coach to manufacture custom Prevost Coach Buses on a high-volume manufacturing level, thus pleasing a high demand from the entertainer industry by producing high- volume numbers and quality level coaches in faster timeframes that conventional coach companies haven’t seen before.

We have a lot of pride in the Legacy Coach team which consists of a wide array of people from many different industries that include: Aerospace Industry, Yacht/Boat Builders, Naval Electrical Engineers, Commercial and Residential Construction Industry Personnel, Navy Seal Special Forces, Truck and Vehicle Frame Design Builders, Circuit Board Manufacturing Builders, and Custom Craftsmen from all over the building world. Chris attributes the great success of Legacy Coach to this “League of Extraordinary People”.  It has been his belief that’s its always about the team and he makes sure the team is well taken care of and provided for.

Chris supports local causes and is always willing to lend a hand to his customers and the community – always lending a hand or ear to anyone in need. The manufacturing of coach buses is his life’s passion!
